After being in the US for about three years now I'm pretty much used to living here and the lifestyle over here. But every now and then there are things that I miss about Mumbai...
Random chance meetings with acquaintances/ friends
Eating chaat in Elco market
Random phone calls to meet friends at all odd hours
Driving off in the middle of the night to Lonavala with friends
Meeting over a cup of coffee past midnight
The hustle and bustle in the city
The travel through the crowded roads
Seeing people walk on the road (Believe me you don't see people walking on the roads here)
Honking when I drive!
Rolling down my car window to abuse someone who just decided to cut right across me :)
The Crazy Traffic...yes I miss it sometimes
Waking up to Jaggu and Tarana say, "Good Morningggggg Mumbai" on the radio
Security of knowing that come what may I can get out of any situation here (well almost any).....
The comfort of knowing that a loved one is only a phone call away
Sitting for hours in a Barista or a Cafe' Coffee Day for no particular reason
Laughing with friends over dialogues of Andaz Apna Apna :)
Living life the way it should be lived... to the fullest....

Hi ,
I was reading ur blog posts and found some of them to be very good.. u write well.. Why don't you popularize it more.. ur posts on ur blog ‘Quirky, in your face, very opinionated, possibly entertaining and hopefully funny’ took my particular attention as some of them are interesting topics of mine too;
BTW I help out some ex-IIMA guys who with another batch mate run www.rambhai.com where you can post links to your most loved blog-posts. Rambhai was the chaiwala at IIMA and it is a site where users can themselves share links to blog posts etc and other can find and vote on them. The best make it to the homepage!
This way you can reach out to rambhai readers some of whom could become your ardent fans.. who knows.. :)
Cheers,
things i revel in, now that i'm back in bombay:
1. being surrounded by friends
2. deciding to watch a movie last-minute (even if it means buying tickets in black!)
3. khau-galli at ghatkoper (long live rasta food!)
4. not having to be politically correct all the time
5. VT/colaba/sterling
6. haggling at linking road
7. friends can just show up at each other's places and its no hassle (although it can definitely turn into a full-fledged party!)
8. laying down on the building terrace ka tank through the night- watching the sky and talking about randomness while someone strums on the guitar
and theres lots more... but rupin, just wanted you to know that you should make a list real quick and we'll check things off of it in december! :D
